Overview
Caesar’s crossing of the Rubicon in 49 BCE became the visible symbol of the Republic’s final crisis. Yet Livarva treats it not as the beginning of collapse, but as the moment when long-standing contradictions became irreversible.
Historical Context
Caesar believed his dignitas, legal protections, and political standing had been denied under the guise of legality. His enemies saw his command and army as intolerable threats.
Consequences
Civil war followed. The old order could no longer contain the power it had produced.
This first atlas entry is drafted from the Livarva manuscripts and will be expanded with exact chapter and source references in a later version.
